2008 - 2014
The Community Interest Company I co-owned organised a monthly artisan market, which hosted local craft-makers, artists, musicians and bakers.
One of the main missions of the CIC was to provide a platform and support for local creatives and the monthly artisan markets was a key focus for our remit.
We provided the space for free (with a suggested £5 donation to cover general running costs, such as the marketing, installation, and insurance).
The artisan market also supported the local trading community by encouraging more regular footfall, particularly at Easter and Christmas (where the markets became weekly).
