For the most part, I am a lower (loer?)-than-lo-fi artist: I use recycled, found, or second-hand materials to produce my work, and basic computer programs (MS Paint and Windows Movie Maker). I still use the second-hand slide projector, carousels, timer, and slide pockets for my installation work and document my artwork using my Canon T50, that I bought in 1999, and 2001, respectively (this isn't always a good thing).
I have learned hard lessons: in 2008 and ex-girlfriend destroyed a large stock of my films and files; in 2013 my family accidentally threw away almost all of my artwork when they moved house; in 2018 my old trusted laptop died; I hadn't backed up.
